Where to ride in November? 4 wind trips, 4 completely different experiences
Brazil dominates the conditions. Cape Verde, Cape Town and Peru offer three very different reasons to go elsewhere.
4 destinations. 4 completely different trips.
November is one of the best months of the year for a wind trip. Northeast Brazil is still firing, Cape Verde is entering its winter wind season, Cape Town is switching into summer mode, while Peru offers a much more adventurous option along the Pacific coast.
Brazil — ride as much as possible
Northeast Brazil is the reference point for a November wind trip. The concentration of strong spots means the trip can move from one beach to another rather than depend on a single location: flat-water lagoons, small villages, long downwinders and warm water around 28°C.

Cape Verde — the one-week Atlantic escape
Cape Verde is a very different proposition. November marks the start of the stronger winter wind period, while the islands stay warm and dry. From Europe, it is also a much easier trip to fit into a single week than a long-haul Brazil or Peru itinerary. Sal keeps logistics simple; Boa Vista feels quieter and more open. Water is typically around 26–27°C.

Cape Town — when the destination matters as much as the wind
November is the beginning of the proper summer wind season around Cape Town. Blouberg gives you the classic Table Mountain backdrop and wave riding, while Langebaan offers a flatter, more protected alternative.
What makes Cape Town different is everything around the sessions: mountains, surf, restaurants, vineyards, road trips and wildlife. The trade-off is colder water, around 14–15°C.

Peru — go somewhere you probably haven't considered
Peru is the surprise on the November map. It is a much less obvious wind destination than Brazil, Cape Verde or South Africa, but the Pacific coast combines strong wind, huge open spaces and desert landscapes that make the trip feel far more exploratory.
Paracas is the most visually striking version of that contrast, where desert meets sea. Piura sits further north and produces some of the strongest November numbers in Windrank.
Choose this destination if: you want the wind trip to feel like an adventure.

One month. Four completely different trips.
The numbers make Brazil difficult to ignore in November.
But the best wind destination isn’t necessarily the place with the highest score.
Cape Verde makes a one-week escape easy. Cape Town turns a wind trip into a full travel experience. Peru offers something much less expected.
The question is therefore not only: Where is it windy in November? It is: What kind of trip do I want?
